My German shepard mix constantly gets into things and develops skin conditions and such. I was looking into getting pet insurance but I dont know if 1) its worth it 2) what would be the best option and 3) if I should just try to find some other way to afford it.
It is not that I do not watch him. I take very good care of my dog and dont feel he needs to be crated all the time.

Im just starting to research about pet insurance and want to make sure the most common problems for a chihuahua will be covered. Also I will be going to the vet next week and was wondering what questions I should ask him about pet insurance.
I’m just worried I’ll end up paying for pet insurance and it won’t actually cover the emergency if it happens.

I have a 5 year-old male cat who is a mixed breed. Recently I’ve had to take him to the vet because he had a blockage of struvite crystals in his urethra. The total amount I spent on him came to about 00. The vet said this could happen again. There is no way I can pay that much again. I’ll be paying off that amount for the next year.
I was looking into pet insurance and found a company that looked pretty promising. The only thing is that I don’t know what would count preexistingting condition. I don’t think this would count because there’s only a *chance* that it’ll happen again. The site says insurance would cover recurring illnesses, but I don’t know how to determine recurring from preexisting.
If anyone knows more about pet insurance or has any advice whatsoever in regards to pet insurance and pet care, let me know.

I have a kitten with a cleft palate and I’m think about finding an insurance plan for him since it’s likely that he’ll need many different vet visits and even a few surgeries. Some pet insurance plans cover hereditary conditions but not pre-existing.
What would a cleft palate be classified as? I don’t think cleft palates are really hereditary, but they are -genetic- or environmental. What do birth defects fall under?
Thanks~

My dog, Teddy, is a 9 month old mixed breed, who we believe to be primarily Sheltie. We don’t know for sure, because we adopted he from a shelter when he was 2 months old and the people who took care of him didn’t know either. We don’t have a lot of money to spend, so definitely an insurance that isn’t too expensive but will still cover a lot. He doesn’t have any medical issues, but I have heard it is a good investment. Is it worth it, and if so, which pet insurance company would be the best? Thanks in advance.

I am thinking of getting it for my cat but I don’t know anything about it. If you have pet insurance could you tell me the company name, about the policy (how much it is and what it covers) and also anything else you could tell me about it like when you made a claim or your opinion on it. If this sounds like I am asking for too much information I understand so even if you could just tell the company name would be a help….
