I was thinking about buying one, but they are kind of expensive (about at the pet store). I want to know if its worth the money and if they last a long time.

I was thinking about getting it for my bull terrier, but he is kind of thick so I am not sure a thin collar like this would work best or not? What do you think?

Also what color do would look best on a red and white bull terrier with black face markings (know as smut).

I don’t want it for training, I want it just for an everyday collar. I use a prong collar for training.
I thought a rolled one might be more comfortable for my dog and would not upset the fur around his neck where as the flat ones seem to crease it. However I am not sure if it would be an issue if I had to grab him by the collar quickly and hold him back.

I will be getting a small breed dog soon and I have been doing some research on dog foods. I would like to do the "home cooked" or "raw" food diet but I would like some more information on this.

-what are some recipes?
-can this be frozen to be used later(could I make all the meals for the week and freeze them)?
-how much does this cost?
-how much time does this take per day?
-How much should I feed the dog (also include how many times a day I should feed…keep in mind it is a small dog I would be cooking for)
-Would a raw food diet be better? (reasons why/recipes for this)…I would imagine that uncooked chicken would be bad…?( i know dogs are animals but they’re also domesticated)

I’ve looked into different kibbles and decided that Blue Buffalo would probably be best as it seems healthy, had good reviews, and is available at my local pet store…but I’m unsure of this as I would imagine that the raw/home cooked diet would be best
So a few questions I have about this are…

-would it be good to mix both the blue buffalo and the home cooked diet together (how much should I give of each)?
-If I was unable to give the home cooked meal would the Blue buffalo be ok for the week?
-what are your experiences with Blue buffalo (for small breeds)?

I want to feed what’s best for my dog but I also cannot afford to spend 60 dollars on a bag of dog food that will last me a month. (I did the math and blue buffalo should last me around 2.5 months for 30 dollars….plus I can get a discount on the food)

Please let me know your experiences for both and help me make the right choice for my dog

I have fallen in love with a dwarf albino hamster at the pet store, but don’t want to cheapen the style of my house by keeping one of those multi-colored (or bright colored) habitrails around.

I also don’t want just a glass aquarium because I want it to be interactive. I like the functionality of the habitrail, I just don’t like the colors.

…. I haven’t bought the hamster yet.

Anyone have ideas?

Ive got my rabbot hutch, got all my supplies (I think; Hay, Food, Water Bottle, and some sawdust) <– Am I missing anything?

How do I set up my rabbit hutch? Like, the pet store told me to put the sawdust all inside of all the rabbit hutch, even inside the bit that isnt the living quarters.

I am helping out at a pet store that is closing (I work at one of them, but at a different location) and they have a ferret nation 142 for 50% off, and I can get an employee discount and a discount for turning in my current cage, which was worth about 75$ when I bought it.

Well, my parents won’t be able to let my two males roam as much while I’m away, and I was wondering if it is worth it to get a bigger cage. Also, the cage I have now is extremely light and easy to clean. I know the Ferret Nation is very heavy, I want to know how easy it is to clean. I use blankets as bedding.
I don’t want my parents to have to lift heavy things/unassemble with tools to have to give the cage a weekly cleaning.
What I’m trying to ask if the cage I have now better for my parents or would the Ferret Nation be easier (and make my rats happier)

My dad would probably just pour vinegar on the cage and hose it off to clean it.
And I was wondering if the ferret nation 142′s second level comes off without much of a struggle.

i just got a dwarf bunny at a family owned local pet store.
it always is jumps when i pet it and runs away.

I always loved hamsters. And i want to get one for my boyfriends nephew for his birthday in june. But i want to get one thats friendly, and its been awhile since i been to a pet store and looked at a hamster, so i dont know how to tell. Do i just ask someone who works there? i just want a nice one so i dont have to worry about the hamster biting him. im going to take care of the hamster too.

This is specifically for two pet bunnies we have. I have bought a product at the pet store that takes the amonia smell out of the urine, but it is quite expensive. Is there a home remedy–something I can add to their water to deodorize the urine?

I work at a pet store in Maine. We do carry Iams and Eukanuba…but when I go to a grocery store or Wal-mart they also carry it. So would those to brands be premium or grocery store brand? Either way they aren’t good food. Just curious and does anyone eles agree?

My friend found these coupons which she won at a school carnival. She got coupons to go to this certain pet store and get a free fish with a free two gallon tank. She used the coupon for the fish like a year ago, but she still has the coupon for the tank. How many fish can she keep in a two gallon tank? I haven’t used two gallon tanks, so I don’t know.
