I have already made my family. I would like to add a cat to my household, but I would like to customize it. I do not see a pet store in my town and the only option I see is to adopt one. Someone please help is there something I need to download?

i’m going to be opening a pet grooming business in Panama City Beach, Florida and i need help thinking of clever/witty names. I would like to include something about the beach/sand/ocean in it. like "beachside pet store" but something more original. also, i will be selling dog clothes, leashes, collars, and other pet stuff there as well as doing pet photography, so I don’t really want grooming in the name. Just a name that people will hear and know it has to do with pets. please help! thanks

Okay I think I want to get lizards or frogs or some other creature like that, and I need to know how long I can keep crickets for? We don’t have a pet store any where near us it’s a 45 minute drive to the closest pet store. So if I get a critter that eats crickets I would need to keep extra but I’m not sure how long I can keep them alive or how?

I’m picking up my male Shih Tzu, Teddy, at the breeder’s house next Sunday (in a week and 2 days). Teddy will be the only dog in the house.
What should I buy at the pet store? A shopping list would be great.
What kind of crates are best? Good dog foods, other supplies I might need?

I am reasearching average prices on certain puppies and I was wondering what the average price was in a pet store; like in malls. I’d rather rescue a puppy, if they have what I am looking for, than pay a breeder double what I would in a store.

I work at an independently owned pet store. We sell what might be considered the "upper end" of grocery store products, to super-premium & natural foods. Talking to a customer who always buys the 44lbs sack for because that’s what he knows the dog will eat. He doesn’t want to spend -32 on a 40 lbs bag of natural food only to find out his dog will not eat it.
Some manufacturers sell ½ pound samples for about wholesale. We have a hard time getting say a carton of 24, as they just don’t produce that much. Most dealers will sell it for cost.
We’ve been kicking around the idea of producing our own sample sizes. Heat sealing bags is very cheap. We can turn an 40 lbs sack into 40 one pound samples. Twice as much as any manufacturer and still sell it profitably for . Any time you buy a sample, we give you a coupon towards the purchase of a 40 lbs sack of this food or any other we carry, so you really risk nothing and possibly will greatly improve your dog’s diet. Would a sample program produced by your pet food retailer make you consider feeding your dog a super-premium and/or natural product?

My friend has a lizard and his younger brother asked him if "people can eat crickets". My friend said people eat chocolate crickets, but I wonder if humans could eat crickets bought from a pet store?
I meant to add that I have no intention of eating crickets…that has to be one of the most wrong things since…well I wouldn’t do it.

I’m not sure of the sex of mine but I’ll check it. I got one from the pet store that had about 10 other hamsters in it and I wanted to get another one but the store doesn’t have the same litter as before. Would they kill each other or would it just depend on which hamster I bought?

it says on the bag that it’s the #1 food according to vets, but i read that if the first ingredient is corn it is no good. this is the only food that her vet sells. i don’t live anywhere close to an actual pet store. if i were to go to one, which food would i need to look for if science diet is really no good? i have a 7 year old mini dachshund and someone on here told me that crappy food may be the cause of her skin allergy that keeps coming back. thanks for all answers!
thanks for elaborating pom bom

I was reading some information how some Vets claim the pet from the pet store/mill is well when it realy isnt?
When I get a pup and bring her to the vet of my choice, how will I know this Vet doesnt do the same? I cant very well ask if he works with puppy mills… well I could, but you know he wouldnt admit to that.
How do I go about finding a trustworthy and real Vet?
Yo LO!, Im not offended in the least. Please DO share it as much as you can. I hope together we can stop more people from buying form places like that.
