How long will catnip last on a scratching post?

I just bought a Family Cat Two Story Tower scratching post from Petco. It has catnip in it and the cat is already going crazy! He is a 7 month Siamese Snowshoe and it doesn’t take too much to get him crazy so it may not actually be from the catnip. We were wondering how long the catnip will take to wear off of the scratching post and how much it will affect him. We also just got a 3 month kitten today and are curious about how it will affect him as well.

need help finding a cheap outdoor dog run?

i just took a pitbull out of a very bad situation, and im not allowed to have a dog, but my neighbor said i could keep him at their house, but it just has to be in an outdoor dog run while im not there. i cant find any under 100 dollars. he will only be in there for about 8 hours, the rest of the day, he will be with me the whole time. i’ve checked petsmart, petco, and craigslist, and everywhere is over 150. any suggestions?

How do I sterilize store bought aqaurium plants before putting them into my aquarium? I recently bought some from Petco and now have several baby snails in the aquarium. I am also worried about introducing disease from the plants into the aquarium.
