My dog is a chew toy for my puppy!?

So I have a 7 week old Great Dane and he is good for the most part, but is going through the biting stage. I realize that I took him from the litter a couple weeks early and am planning on taking him to puppy classes soon. My question is I have a 6 year old golden retriever and my Dane chews and nips him like hes a toy constantly! I have been letting him do this so my golden can sometimes snap at him and let him know he bites too hard and I want him to be comfortable playing with dogs. Am I encouraging bad behavior? I don’t think I could stop him if I tried, he loves playing with him and my golden doesnt mind much…usually just walks away. Should I stop it when they start to play rough or let them go? I kind of rely on my golden to show the pup some good habits.

I just got a Great Dane pup and a Rottweiler mix pup so I am not sure what kind of insurance I should get for both of them. and is there cheaper rates for multiple pet owners because my growing Great dane is racking up the checks and my Rot is not too far behind.

I am switching my dog to raw dog food…..?

I have a 2.5 year old purebred german shepherd, she is 80 pounds.
I also have a 8 month old purebred labrador retriever pup, she is 40 pounds.

I am wanting to switch them to raw dog food. I was wondering if you guys know what a good starting point is for how much to feed them. I know it will probably have to be adjusted in the future, but I am unsure of the amount and where to start.

Which is better Iams or Eukanuba?

I recently got a six week old lab mix puppy whose current food is giving him loose stools. I want to switch to something affordable but something that will give my pup the nutrients he needs. Is it worth paying the high prices in some dog foods? Any other suggestions?
When we were at the vet the other day the vet told me to try and change his food. He doesn’t have internal parasites or parvo. He tested for both.

I was reading some information how some Vets claim the pet from the pet store/mill is well when it realy isnt?

When I get a pup and bring her to the vet of my choice, how will I know this Vet doesnt do the same? I cant very well ask if he works with puppy mills… well I could, but you know he wouldnt admit to that.

How do I go about finding a trustworthy and real Vet?
Yo LO!, Im not offended in the least. Please DO share it as much as you can. I hope together we can stop more people from buying form places like that.

Hi, it’s me again. My pup keeps on biting things and stuff. A while ago, I gave him a chew toy to keep him from biting me. He’s 2 months and a few weeks old. He keeps on playfully biting me and other people at home so I bought him a chew toy. Later I noticed some red on the chew toy, his teeth/gum may be bleeding. Maybe it’s because he’s chewing hard on the toy so I took away his chew toy. Is this normal? What should I do?

My 9 week old pup had the runs this morning. The only change in her diet was this rawhide chew. Obviously I am worried, so is this likely to have been the cause?

Is there a product to neutralize dog urine?

My lush green back yard has become patchy and discolored with different shades of green. We got a german sheppherd pup in January and I’ve been told dog urine will do this to your lawn. Is there any products on the market to neutralize this so I can get my beautiful lawn back?

Thanks!
Thanks for the link. The vet can really put a hole in the pocket with the cost of these meds.

Pretty confident that the pup doesn’t have them (just at the age to start them on the meds), but may as well be safer than sorry and get a test.

Thanks guys.
Thanks Chealsea. Yes, I meant prevention. I’ll just get the test done at her next visit. Thanks again.
