Ok, so I’m totally confused about quality cat foods. Can someone please just list the top 10 dry cat foods out there? And please don’t bother listing anything like Purina, Meow Mix, Friskies, Science Diet, etc. as I already know they are filled with way too many by-products, corn, carbohydrates, etc. Please just give me the premium brands as I don’t mind spending a little more for quality food. I have a one year old golden retriever, she was on Nutro’s Natural chooice for large puppy before. After I read all the reviews, it seems like that blue wilderness is a better quality food with no grain and by products. However, it only comes in one formula. It is suitable for a breed dog such as a young golden retriever? or should I go with the blue buffalo chicken and brown rice for large breed adults instead?

We don’t give him that much, and he eats plenty of top quality food without fillers (Wellness, Felidae, Nutro Max, etc.) But still he acts like a severe addict when it comes to Greenies. He’ll run to my husband’s study and to extricate him to give him snacks. If I get up in the middle of the night, he tries to herd me downstairs for Greenies. He’s very inventive and apparently addicted. He’d rather have a few Greenies than fresh chicken! Our vet, who runs a holistic veterinary practice says Greenies are not harmful.
Ack! Kitty crack! Why are they so addictive? Isn’t it just a bit suspicious?

My cat has an obsessive grooming problem and my vet and I are trying to address it holistically before we try steroids or Prozac. I am trying to switch him over from Friskies wet and Good life Recipe dry mix to a higher quality food. My vet has recommended Wellness, Innova or Nature’s Variety. I have mostly been using Wellness as the Innova only comes in 1 flavor and I can’t find the Nature’s Variety. I tried to switch him over slowing by mixing in more of the wellness over a 5 day period. However, he’s still being very fussy. He’ll eat some of the wet flavors but usually after much protest and he’ll only eat each flavor once or twice before he won’t eat it anymore. I’m still mixing the dry and that’s going fairly well. Any suggestions?

Last night i was watching tv and Friskies commercial came up i thought it was very cute the kitty in some kinda of wonderland lol i absolutely love this commercial even though i know the food isn’t that great (unfortunately) but besides that they did a good job with the commercial and the little song

I wonder why good quality food such as Wellness doesn’t have a commercial

might may have cancer the vets are still trying to diagnose. she has become extremely picky with what she eats. i purchased 43 cans of cat food all different companies and flavors and opened each one until i found one she likes. The problem is the food she devours is not the healthiest one out that. I usually buy premium cat food. She is eating the sliced beef with gravy food by friskies. Do you know of any higher quality foods that are comparable to these in texture and flavor.. i thinks he likes the beef gravy. If my cat is sick i dont want to feed her a low quality food however if this is all she will eat i suppose it is better than nothing but anyone my real question is What premium food brands have a juicy gravy beef selection. She hates pate food. thank youuu.

if you see someone answer a question about feeding their dog iams or pdeigree or purina, they get bombarded with tds. honestly, are we so immature that we td people who feed the dog lesser quality food?

and to make this legit, what do you feed YOUR dog?

i feed nutro and im aware that its not the best, but i tried canidae and it literally sucked, sucked the weight off my dogs.

I just got my Chihuahua pup a few days ago and he is currently eating Nutro’s Max puppy. He seems to love it and it has zero filler or animal bi-products which is great. A friend of mine told me that she finds Royal Canin Chihuahua food to be the best. Just give your opinion on which food you like best….Thanks!
actually Nutro Max is the highes quality in the Nutro brand. To switch to Nutro Natural choice or ultra would be to switch to a lower quality food.

Is Nutro MAX a high enough quality food for dogs, or am I better off spending the extra on Natural Choice?
I am looking for something that is a fair price and good quality that I can buy locally; mail order is just too expensive when I am ordering 80lbs at a time.
