I have a question about dog beds!?

Here is the scenario….Female Chocolate Lab (10 months old), outside dog, she sleeps in a large breed dog house. How can i get a in-expensive(under ) dog bed that she cant chew it up and will keep her warm on cold nights..i live in Mississippi so it only may get down to 30 degrees on a cold cold winter night..(if it got any colder i would bring her inside).
I dont want her to drag her bed out if she gets bored and then start chewing it up…so state your answer about the dog bed then add on the answer to tell me how i can keep her dog bed in the dog house, but still be able to take it out if it needs to be washed…
thanks!
i know that labs are very active! i do play with her! every day!
And labs instinctively like to chew so i know what i am talking about!..p.s. cant bring my dog inside..she is to big and my parents said that i cant have her in there..
i already said that if it got really cold then i would bring her inside.. and it would be like 35 degrees before a lab would be like "whoa! its kinda chilly"

The last "reported" number I saw was 16, but I think that is a bunch of crap!! My sister’s co-worker is probably going to lose his dog; the poor thing has been at the vet’s office for 5 days and isn’t getting better. My vet has lost 3 animals and another local vet has lost 2, so I figure if 5 pets are known to have died from this (within a 35-mile radius of me), the number has to be in the thousands nation-wide! And, no telling how many pets died from "unknown" causes before all of this hit the news. I think these pet food companies should come clean and tell us the truth! I feed her the Ol’Roy jerky treats they just recalled, and I am scared to death that my food (Little Cesar’s) is going to be next, even though they say not. (I’m overreacting I guess.) But, everytime I feed my miniature dachshund, Laci, I feel like I’m signing her death warrant! :(

are these treats good for my cat?

I got "PURINA Whisker Lickin’s Crunch Lover’s" treats for my cat and she loves them. She loves them so much that she tears the container to get them. I was wondering, is this normal?

Is IAMS Proactive good dog food?

http://media.causes.com/ribbon/416296
This website says that comercial foods for you’re dog can kill you’re dog because of the "Preservitives" and "Chemicals" in the food. I wonder if Iams is a good dog food. And it concerns me alot. I only trusted Iams because it said it was "Vet Recommended". Do you guys think/know if Iams Proactive is good for my dog?
Thanks!

Dog breed suggestions?

I am experienced in owning dogs and puppies and am getting another dog soon. I have a much different schedule than when I had my last two dogs and must chose a new breed that will fit my new lifestyle.

I will keep the dog outside during the day from 6:30am-2:00. I will be taking the dog on my morning run from 5:00-6:00, and will take him outside on a walk every hour from 2:00 to 10:00 or until the dog goes to sleep. He will have one more long walk at 5:00pm. Weekends will be free and the dog will not be alone at all. Shedding and ease of trainablility arent concerns of mine.

I will not be able to have giant dogs (ie Great Danes, Irish Wolfhounds) because of my father’s preferences, but large dogs , approximately 28" or less, are acceptable.

Preferences are to have a friendly and affectionate dog who is alert and will remain calm during new experiences. I would rather a large size dog (we have a sturdy, heavy fence the likes of which any size dog has excellent room and cannot escape).

Extreme weather is not a problem for me as I live in San Francisco, CA. Depending upon the dog’s breed, I will bring him inside for the day during waves of uncomfortable weather. I already have dog supplies and have disinfected the lot of it.

My cat had kittens in my brothers dresser drawer upstairs a while ago, and once the cats started moving and trying to crawl out, we moved them down stairs to an area where the cats litter box is, and ever since we moved the kittens there, the cat wont use her litter box. We never had a problem with her "leaving" anything on the floors, but now she keeps doing it and wont stop. Is this normal? How do we make her use the litter box again?

Many sources suggest allowing the bleach solution to soak for 5-10 minutes. It’s important for me to know if bleach kills on contact, or several moments of contact, or 10 minutes of contact. Does creating a strong bleach solution (1:15, 1:7) create a "more effective" or fast faster acting disinfectant? I’m curious what kind of scientific research has been done on this topic.

I have a tank that is 1′ by 2′ and about 16" deep. I also have an animal in it that produces a lot of waste, but is extremely stressed under heavy water flow, and as it stands even with the filter, I’ll have to do partial water changes every week.
It isn’t EXACTLY a fish, it’s an axolotl, and it is quite common to have to do partial water changes every week, no matter how good your filter is.

What vehicle is the best for mobile pet grooming?

I’m planning on going in business with mobile pet grooming. I have three ideas in mind, a typical grooming van conversion with a high top, a grooming trailer (5×8 enclosed trailer), or a slide in camper for a small truck (7" tall inside). I’ve got my own personal pros and cons for each. A van requires me to have insurance on my car and a van, and fix all the repairs a van can have, BUT I wouldn’t necessarily need a generator. A trailer requires me trading in my car for a truck and learning to drive a trailer, getting a small quiet generator, but not having to insure two vehicles. And a slide in requires a truck, but I can slide it off at the end of the day and not have two vehicles, or a generator (possibly). The generator is a small issue I think because of parking in a community setting, especially 55+, and aggrivating the residents with the noise and not being allowed to come back in, which is probably where a majority of my clients will be. And a trailer may not fit in all places I need to go.
