i bought the nano cube and it came with 50/50 blue light so i bought the 6500k light for my freshwater. The problem is that it looks really yellow, and not like what i see on the nice looking tanks. So what kind of light is the nice and bright light everybody uses in the freshwater aquariums

IN the springtime I set five gallon buckets of watter in my yard for mosquito breeder tanks then sein the larva out and feed them to my fish.Does anyone else do this? It’s good nutricious and cheap live food for fish that I highly recomend.
In my tank larva never survive long enough to hatch! ! !

He really likes fish. He loves to go to the pet store to look at them in the tanks. I want to take him fishing but I am afraid he will be sad when the fish dies. How do I make this easier for him?
2 is not too young, that wasn’t my question anyway… I was simply worried about my son having an adverse reaction and was looking for advice on how to make it easier for him.
I wasn’t looking for a lesson in fishing politics.
To catch and release or not to catch and release…I am not fishing for native or endangered fish. I am talking about fishing for Rainbow Trout that were stocked by the state to be caught on the free fishing weekend at our local lake.

People say if you mix Betta with other fish, they’ll fight. So, I want a tank with a divider, but in the pet store the divided tanks only come in really small travel-like sizes. Where can I find a bigger divided tank. I already have one betta, I’m looking to buy another and put them in this type of tank.

They have these little potted plants at petco to plant in reptile tanks and I wanted to get some for my 1 year old box turtle to help keep the humidity high. I thought she had shell rot-found out it was just her growing too fast and she does still need the high humidity. Thanks!

I want to get a few small fish that interact well with each other & are colorful & fun to watch. But I want them to be easy to care for, as I am just starting an aquarium. Any suggestions on what kind of fish or tanks or other stuff?

I have a black moor that is beat up pretty good. I have him in a tank with two albino corys.
I have some aquarium salt and some Melafix. (not yet, but I’m going to have them) The water that he is in was dechlorinated and I put some Stress Coat in there earlier. When my husband gets home with the Melafix and the aquarium salt, should I use only one or can I use both at the same time?
He’s got some pretty good tears on his back, his eye, and his tail is tattered. I discovered earlier that my Tiger Barbs as well as my Serpae Tetra were attacking him. When I pulled the Barbs out, the Serpae took over. So I switched the tanks and put the Moor in the 10 gal and put the Barbs back into the 40 gal.
Another situation — I still have a Beta in the tank with the Barbs and the Serpae — He may be a target now that my Moor is gone. But still yet, I can’t pull him out and put him in the 10 gal because the water will be too cold for him. Any suggestions?
