Im just starting to research about pet insurance and want to make sure the most common problems for a chihuahua will be covered. Also I will be going to the vet next week and was wondering what questions I should ask him about pet insurance.
I’m just worried I’ll end up paying for pet insurance and it won’t actually cover the emergency if it happens.

I have a 5 year-old male cat who is a mixed breed. Recently I’ve had to take him to the vet because he had a blockage of struvite crystals in his urethra. The total amount I spent on him came to about 00. The vet said this could happen again. There is no way I can pay that much again. I’ll be paying off that amount for the next year.
I was looking into pet insurance and found a company that looked pretty promising. The only thing is that I don’t know what would count preexistingting condition. I don’t think this would count because there’s only a *chance* that it’ll happen again. The site says insurance would cover recurring illnesses, but I don’t know how to determine recurring from preexisting.
If anyone knows more about pet insurance or has any advice whatsoever in regards to pet insurance and pet care, let me know.

My vet likes to answer "myths" about pet health and I was wondering if you guys had any?
For example:
Dogs eat poop because their diet is lacking nutrition.
Cats eat grass because they are sick.
Use oil for mange. (btw oil is toxic)
Cats get fat once they are "fixed."
Dawn Dishsoap kills fleas.
etc.
Thanks, and have fun!

I want to start a blog about this subject and I want to be fair and accurate. I searched on line and most companies want to charge me 00 for the report. This is a hobby I don’t have this kind of money for it. I need source of free information for content on my blog. I would also like to find market info on vet cost, and the common causes of pet being taken to a vet. Thanks

I recently had a vet tell me I had to get a certain pet food. It was available in one store here and not available on the Net. However I went to a different vet she told me that type of food wasn’t the best. What goes?
