I’m getting a hamster in about two weeks and I’ve never had one before. I’ve done some research and I was planning on getting an aquarium with a mesh lid instead of one of those crittertrail cages. I know the basics about getting the water bottle and wheel etc, but what is the best type of each? what about bedding? Basically i would like to know anything that you think a first time hamster owner should know that they wouldn’t find out from the pet store. thank you!
what is the best bedding?

I have a 6 week old kitten. She likes to sleep on or near my feet. I think it’s a bonding thing or maybe she misses her kitty mom (she was found alone in a parking lot). But before she falls asleep she likes to play with my feet (pawing, biting, poucing). How do I get her to stop without scaring her away from my feet? I’ve tried saying no, making loud noises, spraying her with a water bottle and gently shaking her while saying no.

My kitten likes to chew on the plants. I dont think she is really eating the leaves because i find the little bits all over the table and floor. And the leaves still on the plant just have teeth marks. I’ve tried spraying her with a water bottle, and making loud noises to scare her when she would try to chew, what else can i try?

My Syrian hamsters were born 3 weeks ago. they all will drink from a water bottle and eat from a food dish but they also still drink from their mom. They are getting big and the mom is starting to act aggressive for no reason. Is it ok for me to move the babies into separate cages yet??
thanks!

My mother hamster appears to be feeding her baby dried food now. She made a second nest where she hide all her food and she carries all her babies there to be fed. Is there a need for me to lower her water bottle for the baby ham as well?

My kitten is about 6 months old. She is a sweetheart and she has another cat to play with. The only problem is that she likes to climb walls. She climbs the frame of the doors and makes it all the way to the top. I have tried the water bottle, tried ignoring her, yelling at her, I also tried putting sticky tape on it but she doesn’t care. What can I do to make her stop? She’s ruining the wood and I don’t want her damaging anymore because I am renting the place.

Ever since she first went into heat she’s been doing this. I have gotten two litter boxes, one for each cat (both unfixed females), I spray her with a water bottle when I catch her in the act, I neutralize the used areas, I even cleaned out a room in the basement and filled it with cat toys, climbing things, one of those running water fountains, grass, a window seat…basically a kitty paradice. I’m the only one allowed in there, and I only go in to feed them and clean the litter box. Neither cats have a medical problem (vet checked) and nothing new other than their own room has been introduced into the house. I need help fast! She needs to stop using my house!

We want to get a crate water bottle (like the ones rabbits and hamsters use) for our dog because she keeps spilling water in her normal dog bowl when she moves around. Anyone have any tips on how to train her to use it?
I tried to put peanut butter on it but she hasn’t figured it out now cuz only a tiny little bit of water comes out if u press the little ball thing…
