Therapy Dog………?
I’m Intersted in Starting up training a thearpy dog. I know its more dependent on the persanaltly not the breed but in your guys expiernce do you feel a largier breed dog or a smaller breed dog is best? Ive heard benefits of both. Ive heard stories of little dogs being more fragile and getting dropped or something which scares me, but big dogs can only really stand by the side of the bed…but little dogs cant be squeezed and played with as Bigger dogs could by children. So i’m interested in your experience, thanks!

You want a medium sized dog, or a large dog who does not seem frightening. My personal favorite is the Beagle. Nobody, ever, will be afraid of a beagle and they are very hard-working dogs.
Well both are good. You could get a big dog and people could hug them and not freak them out or a small lap dog. It really depends on the breed/ dog itself. I don’t really recommend terriers like yorkies or Jack Russels. Beagles if trained right would be good or maybe a St bernard or border collie or a standard poodle, Mastiffs are generaly laid back and easy going. OR a good old fashioned Mutt from the shelter! they really are the best!
just depends on what you want. i have seen both.
