What are the best steps for a fresh smelling scalp?

I hate when My hair or scalp dosent smell fresh I was wondering wats the best long lasting shampoo with the best smell? And are there any steps I should follow or tips? Like How i should wash my hair? with hot water or cold? And the main question is what are the best steps to follow while shampooing your hair? By the way I have long hair, wavy.

its actually better to wash your hair with cold water, it helps make it a lot more healthy and i’m not sure about the shampoo. i really like the smell of dandruff shampoos and a lot of guys do too. but i spray perfume on my hair and shoulders so when my boyfriend hugs me or gets near my face, he’ll smell it. he seems to really like that
i like bed head and paul micthell products..they make my hair smell good..=)
